Walk with the Mayor through Germantown on Sunday July 8
Join Walla Walla Mayor Barbara Clark and city council members Yazmin Bahena and Jerry Cummins on a walk through the Germantown neighborhood around Garrison Middle School this Sunday afternoon from 3:00-4:30.
The walks are a chance for informal conversations between city residents and government officials. Walkers will gather at the Garrison Middle School parking lot at 3:00 pm. All ages from any part of town are welcome, as well as sociable dogs.
Walla Walla’s Germantown in the southwest corner of the city was settled from 1882-1920 by many families of Germans from Russia fleeing conditions there. More information on Walla Walla’s Germantown can be found here.
