Presentation on Walla Walla Treaty Council at ROA Meeting Aug. 2, 2024

Join Dan Clark for a presentation on the Second Walla Walla Treaty Council and Stevens Skirmish of 1856 during the Walla Walla Chapter 021 of the Reserve Organization of America (ROA) meeting.

Dan will highlight Isaac Stevens, the territorial governor and superintendent of Indian affairs, as well as Walla Walla Chief Peopeomoxmox (Yellow Bird), a ranking indigenous member on the Treaty Council. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

The no-host luncheon gathering is Friday, Aug. 2, noon at the Walla Walla Country Club, 1390 Country Club Road. Selections from the menu will be available for purchase.

The ROA was founded in 1922 to highlight reserve components of the U.S. Armed Forces. For more information about the local ROA chapter, search Facebook via bit.ly/45bXlcd. For questions, email Sarah L. Bro, ROA 021 public outreach, at roa21pr@gmail.com.
