The Leaf-Blower Blues – Walla Walla 2020

It’s fall, the season of more than usual leaf blower noise, particulates, global warming gases, and health issues (ears, eyes, throats, lungs). A few decades ago, when lawns were cut, no one finished the job with a leaf blower, and only a few got out brooms. We must ban gasoline leaf blowers and allow electric leaf blowers only during the fall. When folks blow grass, particulates, dust, etc. from their sidewalks into the street, much is re-mobilized by passing vehicles, and has another opportunity to get into our lungs. Please consider the health of our community, particularly those who use leaf blowers. Please help make Walla Walla more peaceful. Thank you for your consideration.
