Please Send Comments on Homelessness Plan to Walla Walla County

The June 24 meeting to give input on a new County Homeless Housing Plan was well-attended and many people spoke on the need for a homeless day center and camping facility during the time provided, including several homeless people.  The County also invited people who weren’t able to speak to send additional comments to Susan Kralman at skralman@walla-walla.wa.us.  It was clear from the information the County provided that they did not intend to include a day center and campground in their anticipated plan, and therefore to allocate any funds for operating such a facility to address the immediate needs of homeless people.
